A new document has been uploaded today to the Council’s Planning Portal, entitled Statement of Need and Operational Procedures, which may be of interest. You can read it by clicking on the link below or by selecting the Documents tab on the portal.
The document says that “whilst every effort was made to manage the site effectively, the Council recognise that there have been areas where management could have been strengthened”. It also acknowledges that “a significant number of objections have been submitted in relation to this planning application”.
It’s unfortunate that this document wasn’t made available before the original closing date for submissions, however people who responded by that deadline will have received a letter today notifying them of an amendment to the description of the property, and also advising of a further three weeks to respond to the application, which takes us to 10 December, and therefore allowing people to respond to the Statement of Need document.
The Council has confirmed that any original comments made on the application stand. This re-consultation allows you to make further comments if you feel you wish to based on the new/amended information.
